John has over a decade of experience in private equity, corporate strategy and corporate development. In 2013, John joined Persistence Capital Partners and is currently responsible for all aspects of the investment process from sourcing, evaluating and executing on investment opportunities to managing existing investments.
Prior to joining PCP, John was a Vice President at TorQuest Partners, one of Canada’s largest generalist middle-market private equity funds. He also worked in the United Kingdom for Lloyds Banking Group in their Strategy and Corporate Development Group and at UBS in Mergers & Acquisitions.
John also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Lift Investments, a not-for-profit start-up organization focused on investing in small and medium sized enterprises in Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University.
